Niechorze
350
The lighthouse was commissioned on 1st December 1866. Its buildings comprise a 45 m tower built on a square base and 12 m high living quarters and outbuildings. The tower opens a view for all coastal processes and coast-protection systems. In order to reinforce the lighthouse the measures and construction of hard seawall was started in 1900. Since that period it main effect is the reflection of the incident waves during the highest storms but it has also a negative result in the sand loss seawards.

Trzęsacz

Hard construction performed in order to protect the remains of the last wall of historical church which was constructed in XV century about 2,5 km from the sea. Through the last 500 years the mean erosion tempo changed within the range of 0,8 to 0,1 meters per year.

Dziwnów
380
Seawall in Dziwnow was performed to protect the buildings which are located in the very narrow Dziwnow Split. The split separates the Baltic Sea waters form the waters of Kamienski Lagoon and river Dziwna. Dziwnow provides an excellent example of problems connected with the urban development in the area of a sensitive dune coast.

Gosań Mountain
405
The highest cliffs on the south Baltic Sea coast.
Area protected within a Wolinski National Park. Due to no human impact into natural processes storms, wind and sun contribute to the cliffs' erosion. As a result they recede approximately 80 cm per year. The altitude within the Park is from 0 to 115 m. Moraine hills predominate in the relief, covering approxi-mately 75% of the Park area.

Międzyzdroje
410
City situated between wide beach on the westerns side and cliff coasts of the Wolinski National Park on the eastern side. Great example of the natural processes of erosion and sedimentation. Sediments mostly from eroded cliffs has been deposited by sea on the beach since few thousands years.
