Dear all,

MESSINA Project polish partners have pleasure to invite all interested participants of LITTORAL 2006 for Messina Seminar on 22/23 of September 2006. The Seminar will held in Rewal, day after end of post conference trip in hotel where last accommodation of trip will be done. The seminar is an associated event of Littoral 2006 and is organized by University of Szczecin Institute of Marine Sciences in the framework of MESSINA project together with Associations of Polish Coastal Cities and Communes and Commune of Rewal.
The Seminar will be open by official dinner funded by Mayor of Rewal at 22 September at 7:00 PM.

At 23 September (Saturday) will have place from 9:00 Am to 12:00 AM with following schedule:
  • invitation addresses
  • Brief characteristic of MESSINA Project
  • Polish case study of valuation the shoreline(Trzesacz)
  • Polish case study of engineering the shoreline (Dziwnow)
  • Polish case study of integrating the shoreline into spatial planning processes (Trzesacz and Rewal)
There will be also presentation of a GIS Trzesacz and Rewal database used to support Integrated Coastal Zone Management in these area.

Language of seminar: Polish and English simultaneously translated

Participation at seminar and accommodation 22/23 September is covered by MESSINA project. If you attend the seminar, you can departure to your country from nearest airports: Szczecin-Goleniow and Berlin(Tegel, Tempelhoff, Schonefeld), Ferry from Swinoujscie or train from Szczecin.
Please note to carefully plan your back trip if you are interested in attending. Organizers will help you with find best connection to your airport, ferry or train station.
